Lawyer by the Universidad Interamericana para el Desarrollo, campus San Luis Potosí, with a master's degree in constitutional procedural law by the Centro de Estudios de Actualización en Derecho, in the city of Querétaro and with a specialty degree in constitutional justice, interpretation and application of the constitution, by the Universidad de Castilla La Mancha, in the city of Toledo, Spain.

He worked for the law firm Barrera, Barrera, Abogados, S.C. where he was director of the private litigation area. He is a founding partner of the law firm Allende, Díaz de León y Madrigal, S.C. where he is head of the private litigation area.

He is currently a professor of constitutional law and amparo law at several universities, as well as a member of the Mexican Bar Association.
